BLACK BOX association law 1901, is in charge of organizing the FIIE.
His goal:
- Create and develop an international network of artists engaged in a practice and a focus on the theme of the environment.
- Promote this approach to all age groups and across all media including the press, publishing, exhibitions, festivals, workshops and screenings.

WALK IN THE PARK Montreaux: DELPHINE GAMBLIN
Meeting
Located on the plateau of Upper Montreuil, Montreau Park is the oldest landscaped gardens in the city. The castle of the same name, which was destroyed by the war of 1871, now houses the Museum of Living History. The Wasteland is a party to meet its walkers, dreamers and its major players in the cultural scene.
The park is a haven for city dwellers, a meeting place for the most excluded and the anchor point for reflection on the presence of nature in the city. So we met for you Delphine Gamblin, general commissioner and organizer of the International Festival of Environmental Image (FIIE) and living on the edge of the park.
The International Festival of Environmental Image is a young festival that expands throughout these editions. Real platform for new talents exploring the themes of environment, FIIE prepares for its third edition Rencontres d'Arles in 2010.
Delphine Gamblin is a photographer. Over the last twenty years, a theme takes shape in his artistic process, the balance between nature and infrastructure. To Delphine, "art and culture touches the sensitive side of people, especially the photograph that pinpoints the details that we would not see normally. With photography, people are concerned about the staged, and it responds to an aesthetic approach, the more it will attract attention and so the questions. "
Turn in the artistic director of photo agencies and event organizer, personal concerns will cross his professional and artistic ambitions. She explains that it is in childbearing that environmental concerns have emerged as essential to him, and lead by example in transforming its flag in bioclimatic habitat.
The festival creates the meeting.
In recent years, many photographers and video artists produce works on the theme of the environment. But their productions are still struggling to cross the threshold of galleries and museums are not interested yet.
The FIIE was then thought of as a synthesis of these new trends by giving them the time and place to express themselves. In these first two editions, the festival was the developer of new talent and the witness of contemporary concerns. It creates an original encounter between artists and audiences in search of meaning, it takes the measure and verify the trends.
A festival that puts the environment beyond the event
The themes of the festival can not be confined only to the dates of the event. FIIE the fate of its own borders and turns all over France. A blog is being created, where journalists, artists and ordinary visitors can leave comments, and a teaching site in three dimensions is in preparation.
Hopefully the artistic integrity of the participants is not the victim of the success of the event.
